Neymar has said that he is ready to “die on the pitch” ahead of Paris Saint Germain’s final showdown with Man City at the Etihad on Tuesday.
PSG fell to a 2-1 defeat last week to Man City in the first leg at Parc des Princes with goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez cancelling out Marquinhos’ opener.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men were subdued after a fantastic opening to the match with City exerting dominance in the second half.
Kylian Mbappe failed to register a single attempt for the first time in a Champions League game.
Neymar has reiterated that he is well aware of the huge task that face he and his teammates at the Etihad.
“We have a very difficult match against Manchester City, but we have to believe, no matter what the stats or our percentage chance of winning is” the Brazilian said.
“I think that every Parisian has to believe in us. I’ll be the first to do so.
“I am in the first line and I will be the first warrior to go into battle for the team”
“I am going to give the best of myself and I’ll do everything I can to qualify, whatever happens”
With a small laugh he added “Even if I have to die on the pitch”
