CNB News – Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has warned that they club faces a high chance of not winning trophies if they don’t improve on details after their 2-0 loss to Manchester City in the League Cup semis.
Guardiola’s side became only the second side to reach four consecutive finals in the competition.
On the other hand, Manchester United have lost three out of four EFL semi finals.
It was also a fourth consecutive semi final exit for United and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in all competitions, having lost to City in the previous campaign as well as Chelsea and Sevilla in the FA Cup and Europa League respectively.
Paul Pogba has gone on to say the club will not win big matches if they do not take certain situations more seriously.
“It’s very annoying to lose because there is a trophy behind all of this. We have to do better, we have to do better for sure. It is about details. The midfielder told MUTV.
“Details make the difference all of the time and now when it is big games like this, it is details and at set pieces we lost. We have to learn because it is not the first time.
“We are improving. Last year they were obviously more dominant and they dominated us. That wasn’t the case this time so obviously we are improving”.
“We are improving in the league and, even though we lost in the semi-final, we are still going far and that is what we want. But now it is about details. It is good to improve but we have to go to the next step now, all of us.
