CNB News – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has called out the Confederation Of Africa (CAF) after Gabon had to wait a long six hours at Gambian airport on the morning of an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier making them feel like ‘hostages’.

The Arsenal striker and captain recounted the frustrating wait on his instagram story in the early hours of Monday, posting pictures and videos of himself and his teammates having their passports taken by security men.

As time went by, the photos showed the majority of the Gabonese national team attempting to sleep on the floor of the airport, using their luggage as pillow.

“Still waiting to enter Gambia and we play at 4pm” the striker wrote.

A follow up post showed the team listening to music and joking “they will not discourage us” he added to his caption.

Gabon were allowed into the country at 6:00. “Finally in the bus, Thanks for the extra motivation Gambia” Aubameyang wrote.
