Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho says he wanted to make 11 changes at halftime in Tottenham’s 1-0 Europa League defeat to Belgian side Royal Antwerp, admitting his side deserved to lose.

The likes of Lo Celso, Bergwijn, Vinicius and Alli were all substituted at the break as Spurs were already behind to a Lior Refaelov strike.

Gareth Bale was also taken of by the hour mark but the bringing on of Hojberg,Moura,Son and Kane didn’t make any difference.

”I would have liked to make 11, I didn’t make five because I was afraid of a long 45 minutes without any changes to make” Mourinho said on his decision to make a quadruple change at the break.
