Tottenham have appointed former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement.

Mourinho, “The special one” arrives at Tottenham, who sacked Pochettino just fibe months after the club’s remarkable run to the champions league final.

Tottenham opted to make a change at the end of the international break, with Spurs languishing in 14th place in the Premier League.

”I am excited to be joining a club with a great heritage and such passionate supporters” Mourinho said in a statement, having been appointed head coach until the end of 2022-2023.

Pochettino who was surprisingly scaked on the 19th of November has released a statement on Twitter through his assistant Jesus Perez.

”Big thanks to you all, we can’t say goodbye…you will always be in our hearts”.

The 47 year old has since been heavily linked to the managerial position at Bayern Munich.
