According to reports, the ex Chelsea and Man Utd manager is keeping a close eye on Tottenham and the uncertainty that lingers over Mauricio Pochettino’s future.
The potential of a journey open in North London might even leaf to him turning down a big name former employer.
- Man Utd want Gareth Bale.
Manchester United could launch a move for Gareth Bale according to The Sun. Real Madrid know of United’s interest in the Welsh winger and would be happy to let him leave providing they can do a deal that involves Paul Pogba moving in the other direction.
- Jadon Sancho and Adam Lallana on PSG’s radar.
Paris Saint Germain are rumored to be United’s strongest rivals for Burossia Dortmund man Jadon Sancho. The Ligue 1 Champions could also make a surprise play for another England international in the person of Adam Lallana. PSG are hopeful they can poach the current Liverpool midfielder when his contract expires in 2020.
- Manchester City want Coman.
Premier League Champions Manchester City will look to sigh Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich if Leroy Sane agrees on a move to the Bundesliga giants. Coman,23, joined Bayern from Juventus in 2015.
- Antonio Conte threatened.
Inter received a letter containing threats against head coach Antonio Conte and have informed the relevant authorities, the club confirmed in a widely distributed statement.
The club’s statement contradicted some reports that indicated the letter was sent directly to Conte.
”In relation to the news published today,Antonio Conte has not personally received any threatening letter” the statement said.
- Messi in talks over new Barca contract – Abidal.
Lionel Messi is in talks Barcelona over a new contract confirmed sporting director Eric Abidal.
The Argentina international has spent 18 years with Barca but his future has been called into question.
The five time Ballon d’Or winner is officially contracted to the La liga champions until 2021, but Abidal is hopeful fresh terms can soon be agreed.
- Wenger appointed by FIFA.
Arsene Wenger has been confirmed as FIFA’s chief of global football development.
Wenger, 70, spent 22 years incharge of Arsenal until 2018 and had been linked to the vacant managerial position at Bayern Munich. He has however taken up a new role with the global governing body.
FIFA says Wenger will also be considered “a leading authority on technical matters” as a mem be of the football and technical advisory panels, taking part in the decision making processes of potential law changes in the sport.
On his appointment, Wenger said “I very much look forward to taking on this extremely important challenge not only because I have always been interested in analyzing football from a broade perspective, but also because FIFA’s mission as world football’s governing body is truly global”.
