The All Progressives Congress has been declared as the winner of the Local Government election which held on Saturday, October 26, at Kebbi State.

The declaration was made at Birnin Kebbi (the state capital) today by the Chairman of Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC), Aliyu Mera, while addressing newsmen present.

In his statement, he says;

“KESIEC wishes to release the official results of the State Local Government Election held on Saturday, as already declared by the various wards and Local Government Returning Officers in 223 wards of the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

“The APC candidates won the election in all the 21 LGAs,” he said.

“The Peoples Democratic Party, Fresh Party and other contenders did not make much in the election,” he added.

Mera told newsmen that the Kebbi State LG election successfully held peacefully and that the results were announced in the presence of party agents and security personnel.

The chairman, however, stressed that two polling units in Dandi and Argungu Local Government Areas in the State arrived at an inconclusive result after the election.

“The election in the two units will be concluded on Saturday, November 2, 2019,” Mera said.
