CNB News – Comrade Akpa Francis, a Media Expert and Youth Activist, shares his view concerning Supreme Court’s dismissal judgement regarding Atiku Abubakar’s power tussle court case with President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Comrade, a devoted supporter of Atiku all through the Presidential Election campaign, where he acted as the Youth Ambassador and Leader of many support groups for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), gave the statement today in which he showed his appreciation to Nigerians for their show of support to ex-vice president, Atiku Abubakar, all through the course of the campaign, up to the present.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 23, 2019 presidential election.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, who led six other members of the apex court’s panel, delivered a three-sentence judgement which put paid to the legal dispute over the poll.

The CJN, who said the reasons for the decision of the court would be made known on a date to be announced, disclosed that he and members of the panel had read all the documents and exhibits filed in the case for two weeks and found the appeal to be lacking in merit.

Responding to the Supreme Court verdict of the February presidential election tribunal  said:

“I humbly wish to thank my fellow Nigerians especially all the Atikulated families for their undiluted support to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar all these while.

“No doubt, the Nation’s Apex Court has ruled but the final judgement belongs to God Almighty; you may manipulate man but you cannot manipulate God.

“His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, didn’t lose but Nigerians and the Nigeria Judiciary lost.

“Waziri Adamawa fought a good fight – we might lose the battle, but not the war, just a matter of time.

“I rest my case for now.

“Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!”
